credenza in progress

We have a fantastic mid-century furniture store down the street from our apartment. Their inventory cycles surprisingly fast so we enjoy taking walks to see what they have often. Occasionally we purchase something we like, and before we knew it we became mid-century people.

This model is one of our purchases, a credenza we use as a media console. The problem is that the credenza does not seem to be made for such a top-heavy load. Now that we have our twin boys in the house, its wobbling is a bigger issue.

I’d like to share my process as I design some form of reinforcement and/or wall anchor. Let’s look at my first(ish) draft of my 3D model of the credenza.

The next step is to add detail, which I’ll get to right after I write about the WebAssembly OpenSCAD viewer above, which I created for this page.

Thank you for reading my first project write-up!
